KOM MAINTENANCE SYSTEM ELEMENTS:In order to form an accurate assessment of the effectiveness of a Maintenance System all the fundamental elements will be evaluated by KOM. KOM adopt the followings maintenance system elements for the effective O &M System. 1 – KOM Policy, Strategy, Authorities & Responsibilities:KOM Policy define the scope and nature of the task to be addressed by the Maintenance System, what it is intended to achieve and the fundamentals of it is to be directed. KOM Strategy define how the Maintenance System will be developed, structured, administered and assessed. Within an organization, and within the Maintenance System, KOM clearly defined which personnel have the authority and responsibility for particular functions. 2 - Maintenance System Administration:KOM in many ways organize and manage the administration of a Maintenance System which is a separate enterprise from the conduct of maintenance tasks. KOM has knowledge of the objectives, methodologies and procedures for technical maintenance skills and focus. 3- Maintenance Task Management:KOM management of maintenance tasks should address two key areas: Operational issues, including resource requirements, simultaneous work scopes, Health and Safety, etc. Scheduling issues, including maintenance task frequencies, linking of tasks, task backlog management, etc. MAINTENANCE TASKS:KOM maintenance tasks includes the equipment inventory which identifies the numbering system. Maintenance tasks normally depend upon work orders for the Maintenance System. The Work Order include a variety of information specified by the organization and define the data required for inclusion in the maintenance history. KOM task description is clear, precise, complete, informative and include all the relevant references to special tools, accompanying documentation, e.g. alignment check list, dynamic balancing record reference, etc. MAINTAINED EQUIPMENT CONDITION:Data Management:KOM Maintenance System data is regularly backed up and properly archived.
